Iftar Event & Employee of the year awards
Nesma & Partners hosted Iftar Dinner for their staff working at the Head Office in AlKhobar. The Iftar took place at Nesma Village which was attended by the Chairman, Board of Directors, Management staff and invited guests.

After the dinner, the company distributed "EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARDS" to nominated employees who were recognized by their managers for their distinguished and outstanding performance and contribution to the company during the foregoing year. The Nesma & Partners winners for this year were Mr. Vasudeva Unnikrishna Warrier, Mr. Abdul Aziz Mohammed Al-Jeshi, Mr. Prabhakaran Pillai Rajagopal, Mr. Arnel Pineda Siapno, Mr. Isidro Puno Manalastas, Mr. Renato Medrano Pallera, Mr. Manuel Popa Paa, and Mr. Genciano Recio Monte. The awards were distributed by Sheikh Abdulaziz Ali Alturki and Sheikh Saleh Ali Alturki in the presence of Mr. Imad Gholmieh, Dr. Marwan Gholmieh and Mr. Milhim Ghulmiyyah.

King Abdullah University for Science & Technology (KAUST)- Utility Distribution, Roads Network and Four Bridges over Water Canal
Nesma & Partners has been awarded by Saudi Aramco a second project associated with the construction of King Abdullah University for Science & Technology (KAUST) at Rabigh. The scope of work comprises construction of roads network, four various span bridges over KAUST water canal, underground pipelines, lift stations with submersible pumps and evaporation ponds, sanitary sewer system, utility water system, irrigation system, chilled water distribution system, power distribution networks, street lighting, package substations, etc. The project is expected to be completed by June 2009.

Civil Engineers Awareness Day at KFUPM
As part of our continued efforts to motivate and develop Company’s Human Resources, Nesma & Partners and Nesma Trading jointly organized a seminar on “Talent Management & Leadership Skills” on 13th and 14th June 2007 @ Nesma Village, AlKhobar. The Seminar was conducted by Dr. Charles H. Besseyre Des Horts, Associate Professor for Human Resource Management Studies (HRM) from HEC Paris Business School. The Seminar was organized for the Department Managers and Project Managers to develop their management skills such as talent management (ability to attract, retain, motivate and develop talents) and leadership skills (ability to manage a team, to listen and to be a leader). At the end of seminar, certificates of completion were distributed to all participants.

Nesma & Partners implements Institutionalization program
Nesma & Partners started implementing the Institutionalization program that was recently completed by CDS (Consulting and Development Services). CDS will continue to work with Nesma & Partners for the implementation of this program.

Graduation & Employment ceremony
As part of the ongoing process of increasing the number of Saudi staff in the company, Nesma & Partners participated in a Graduation & Employment ceremony held at AlSeef Building, AlKhobar on 29th of April 2007. The event was sponsored by HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Governor for the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this event, company met with many prospective candidates and collected their CVs. All CVs are currently under evaluation and selected candidates will be called for interview. The event was organized by Mr. Ali H. Alzabadin, the Senior Coordinator for developing the Saudi workforce in the company.

Nesma & Partners joined the Toastmasters Club
Nesma & Partners joined the Toastmasters Club consisting of a group of Department Heads/Key Staff from various Departments. By joining the Toastmasters Club, the staff will have the opportunity to develop their communication skills including development of public speaking skills, leadership skills, punctuality and discipline, commitment and confidence building, public relation motivation, etc. The first inaugural meeting was held on Wednesday, 25th April 2007 under the Chairmanship of Sheikh Abdulrazak Ali Alturki, the founder of the Club, which was attended by the Senor Management Team from Nesma.

Nesma & Partners Entered 27th Year of Successful Operation
In a recent inter-office memo issued to the staff of Nesma & Partners, the Company CEO, Mr. Imad Gholmieh, proudly announced company's entry to the 27th Year of successful operation and expressed how the company progressed from a civil and building contractor to a leading industrial and oil & gas Contractor. Mr. Gholmieh expressed his sincere thanks to the staff for their dedication, hard working and team spirit that took the company forward by maintaining the culture and moving the vision of the Company to higher goals.

Mr. Gholmieh requested all staff to continue building excellence by working together for a much brighter future.

Career Orientation
Nesma & Partners provided a two days career orientation to a group of students from French School in the Eastern Province. The orientation was conducted by the Design and Engineering Department on architectural and civil engineering. The CEO, Mr. Imad Gholmieh distributed Certificate of Completion to each student who attended this orientation.
