    Rabigh Cable Factory
Dated July 2008
Nesma & Partners has been awarded by "Jeddah Cable Company" to construct a new cable manufacturing plant, namely, "Rabigh Cable Factory" at Rabigh. This is the first phase of their project. Nesma's scope of work includes Civil & Buildings (5 Buildings with a total built-up area of over 160,000 m2), Mechanical, Installation of all equipments, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC systems and all associated civil, infrastructure & utility works. The project is expected to be completed by June 2009.
   
    King Abdullah Economic City - Resort Cove Infrastructure Package

Nesma & Partners has been awarded by EMAAR, The Economic City (King Abdullah Economic City) for the construction of a major infrastructure package associated with Resort Cove- Zone B. Nesma's scope of works involved construction of all external roads and infrastructure/utility services including roads, water supply network, sewage network, storm drainage, irrigation and fire fighting network, landscaping, electrical and telecommunication works to include MV network, street lighting, substations, MV switchgear, telecommunication infrastructure works, etc. The project is expected to be completed by April 2009.
   
   

DIESEL HYDROTREATER COMPLEX – RAS TANURA REFINERY

Nesma & Partners has been awarded by Samsung of Korea for the construction of Diesel Hydrotreater Complex at Saudi Aramco Ras Tanura Refinery. The end client and owner of this project is Saudi Aramco.

The Hydrotreater complex is aimed to reduce the sulphur content in the diesel produced at the 550000-bpd refinery. This will be achieved by saturating the aromatic rings and removing almost all the sulphur and nitrogen compounds in the diesel to as low as 0.05 per cent.

Nesma’s scope of work (SOW) included construction of the complete plant including but not limited to all Civil and Infrastructure works, Heavy foundations, Buildings, Structural steel erection, Mechanical / equipment erection, Heavy lift, Electrical, Instrumentation, Painting, Insulation, procurement of all civil and building materials and all consumables required for the project including assistance to testing, balancing, pre-commissioning and final commissioning.
The project is expected to be completed by August 2010.

   
   

AL-MASANE AL-KOBRA MINING PROJECT

Nesma & Partners has been awarded a contract by Al-Masane Al-Kobra Mining Co to carryout the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (Turnkey Contract) of the Al Masane Facilities Project.   The Al-Masane Mine located in Saudi Arabia's southern part near to Najran, has been proven to contain copper, zinc, gold, and silver reserves.  Nesma & Partners has awarded a subcontract to China National Geological & Mining Corporation (CNGM), an enterprise owned by the Republic of China.
The project is expected to be completed by end of 2009.

   
    King Abdullah University for Science & Technology (KAUST)- Utility Distribution, Roads Network and Four Bridges over Water Canal

Nesma & Partners has been awarded by Saudi Aramco a second project associated with the construction of King Abdullah University for Science & Technology (KAUST) at Rabigh. The scope of work comprises construction of roads network, four various span bridges over KAUST water canal, underground pipelines, lift stations with submersible pumps and evaporation ponds, sanitary sewer system, utility water system, irrigation system, chilled water distribution system, power distribution networks, street lighting, package substations, etc. The project is expected to be completed by June 2009.
   
   
Diammonium Phosphate Plant (Dap), Ma’aden, Ras Az Zour:

Nesma & Partners awarded by Dragados Industrial, S.A. of Spain the Main Subcontract package to build a Diammonium Phosphate Plant (DAP) for the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) at Ras Az Zawr.

Nesma & Partners shall be responsible for the total construction of this project including but not limited to all civil and infrastructure, heavy foundations, buildings, structural steel erection, mechanical / equipment erection, heavy lift, piping fabrication and erection, electrical, instrumentation, painting and insulation including assistance to pre-commissioning and final commissioning. The scope of work also included construction of an independent camp and office facilities for use by Dragados personnel.

The project is expected to be completed by July 2010.
   
   
Expansion of Sewage Treatment Plant- Rahima:
Dated August 2007
Nesma & Partners awarded by Saudi Aramco a contract to expand the existing Sewage Treatment Plant at Rahima. The existing Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is located within the Municipality of Rahima, adjacent to existing Saudi Aramco Airport. The Plant serves both Rahima and Ras Tanura. The scope of this project is to expand the capacity of existing STP from 6.6 MGD to 12 MGD.

The contract includes an option to extend the "Tarut Bay Outfall". During all phases of construction the plant will continue to serve normal flow.

The project is expected to be completed by January 2009.
   
   
Central Utility Plant at King Abdullah University for Sciences & Technology, Rabigh:

Central Utility Plant at King Abdullah University for Sciences & Technology, RabighNesma & Partners awarded by Saudi Aramco for the Design, Engineering, Procurement  and Construction (IK-LSTK) of a Grass-root Central Utility Plant (CUP) associated with King Abdullah University for Science & Technology (KAUST) which is currently being built at the New King Abdullah Economic City @ Rabigh.  This is one of the major packages of KAUST Project and is the 2nd largest LSTK project awarded to Nesma & Partners by Saudi Aramco after the Shedgum-Yanbu NGL Pipeline Upgrade Project – Phase I.

The Grass root Central Utility Plant (CUP) comprised of three major components; a Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Potable Water Treatment Plant with capacity to produce a Peak Daily Consumption (PDC) of 32 ML/day, a Central Chiller Plant with the cooling capacity of approximately 45,000 tons and a Waste Water Treatment Plant with a peak hourly flow of approximately 38,000 m3 per day.

The project is expected to be completed by February 2009.
   
    Expansion of Shaybah Central Processing Facilities- GOSPs (Gas/Oil Separation Plants) and associated facilities:

Nesma & Partners awarded by SNC-Lavalin/Saudi Aramco for the total construction of GOSPs (Gas/Oil Separation Plants) including all utilities and support facilities to support the operations such as electricity, instrument air, nitrogen, water treatment, etc. The project located close to UAE border, is part of Saudi Aramco’s plan to raise the Kingdom’s crude capacity to 12.5 million bpd. The expansion is to process new capacity from the onshore oil field and is aimed to increase the field’s output from 250,000 barrels per day to about 800,000 bpd of extra light Arabian crude.  Nesma shall execute the total construction works including but not limited to all civil and infrastructure, heavy foundations, buildings, structural steel erection, mechanical/equipment erection, piping fabrication/erection, heavy lift, electrical, instrumentation, painting, insulation, pre-commissioning and assistance to final commissioning.
Nesma’s scope is also covered construction of temporary camps and office facilities for use by SNC-Lavalin and SAUDI ARAMCO designated personnel.  The temporary facilities include portable buildings of accommodations, offices, common support facilities, recreation and sports facilities, access roads, landscaping, etc.
This is Nesma’s 2nd largest oil and gas project awarded within the past one year.

CONSTRUCTION OF A 230 KV SUBSTATION BUILDING
Nesma & Partners awarded by Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company, Jubail a Lump Sum Turnkey Contract (LSTK) for the construction of a 230 KV Substation building. Briefly the scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement and construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning of a 230 KV substation building which is part of a major petrochemical complex being constructed by Saudi Kayan in Jubail. Nesma & Partners will be working with Fluor, the PMS contractor on this project. This project is expected to be completed by October 2007.

EFFLUENT, FLARE & INCINERATOR WORK (YANBU PETROCHEMICAL COMPLEX U&O PROJECT)
Installation of foundations, structural steel, above ground and underground piping, electrical, instrumentation, and pipe racks for the Effluent Treatment, Flares, Incinerator and support facilities, installation of numerous sumps, pumps, CPI separators and retention basin for handling various waste water and other liquid waste streams that collect in this area for treatment and handling including storage ponds, sumps and pumping systems that collect the plant waste streams in this area.

Nesma & Partners awarded by Northern Region Cement Co  to build a 6,000-t/d cement plant at Arar – Northern Region of the Kingdom.  Briefly, the scope of works comprise of erection and commissioning of all mechanical plants and equipment, installation of electrical, control and automation systems, a captive power plant, administrative and support buildings, a residential compound including all civil and infrastructure facilities. The project is executed jointly with our Chinese Partner – China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM). The project is expected to be completed in Feb. 2008.

Najran Cement – Plant #
2:
Nesma & Partners awarded by Najran Cement Company to build a 3,000-t/d cement plant at Najran in the southeast of the Kingdom.  Briefly, the scope of works comprise of erection and commissioning of all mechanical plants and equipment, installation of electrical, control and automation systems, a captive power plant, administrative and support buildings, a residential compound including all civil and infrastructure facilities. The project is being executed jointly with our Chinese Partner – China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM). The project is expected to be completed in Feb. 2008.

West Bekaa Region Wastewater Project System 1,2 & 4, Lebanon:

Nesma & Partners awarded by Council For Development & Reconstruction, Tallet Al Serail – Beirut. Briefly, the scope of work comprises of provision and laying of 200 km of sewer pipes including manholes, construction of 9 pumping stations complete with equipment, design & construction of 2 Nos sewage treatment plants and O&M of sewage treatment plants for 2 years. The project is expected to be completed in May 2008.

SHY-1 NGL Pipeline Upgrade at Pump Station # 6: 

Nesma & Partners has been awarded by Saudi Aramco a lump-sum turnkey (LSTK) contract to carry out the first package on the debottlenecking of Shedgum-Yanbu east-west-1 (SHY-1) natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline.  The two-year contract, calls for the installation of an intermediate NGL pumping station with three 50 per cent combustion gas turbines at the east-west crude oil pump station 6.  The design and build contract also includes utility systems, installation of a new NGL fuel metering system and the construction of living quarters.  Nesma & Partners will carry out detailed design, engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning and provide start-up assistance. On completion, the pipeline’s capacity will increase to 425,000 barrels per day (b/d) from 300,000 b/d. The SHY-1 pipeline runs from Shouaiba in the Eastern Province to Yanbu in the west. The project is expected to be completed in July 2007.

Yanbu Petrochemical Complex:
Nesma & Partners awarded by SABIC/Foster Wheeler two LSTK projects; the first project covers design, engineering, procurement and construction of temporary office building and miscellaneous building works and the second project covers design, supply and erection of Chemical control building. The project is expected to be completed in January 2007.
