Social Responsibility

Localization & Nationalization

We are developing and executing localization strategies for capacity/capability building and procurement by partnering with local leaders, engaging local stakeholders, and focusing on sourcing local and sustainable materials.

- Entrepreneurial Contractors initiative to support local contractors and contribute to local content.

- Partnership with the Saudi Council of Engineers to provide job opportunities for qualified Saudis and training opportunities for engineers at Nesma & Partners.

- Saudi Contracting Pioneers Initiative is a partnership with Tarmeem to elevate the quality and quantity of renovation projects in the Kingdom, support local startup contractors, and contribute to the local content. It aims to establish a framework for startup contracting companies in maintenance and rehabilitation in the construction sector.

- Partnership with Local Content & Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) with four objectives:

1- Increase the percentage of the Saudi workforce in Nesma & Partners and their

                affiliated partners & suppliers

2- Raise the quality of services provided in the construction and building sector through

the development of local suppliers and contractors and small and medium enterprises

3- Take advantage of national initiatives and programs to enhance the localization of

               sector jobs

4- Establish programs to train local capabilities on projects and services provided by

the company to transfer knowledge and develop capabilities

We also believe in engaging with our stakeholders in local communities, suppliers, and partners to promote sustainable practices throughout our value chain.

This includes working with local communities to identify and address their sustainability concerns and collaborating with suppliers and partners to promote responsible sourcing and ethical business practices.

We developed an ESG framework that will help us to align and monitor our performance with the highest international standard, and we started providing awareness training sessions to our supply chain partners to prepare them to cope with Nesma & Partner’s ESG framework and the construction industry future requirement here in Saudi Arabia.

At Nesma & Partners, we are committed to social responsibility and sustainable business practices while strengthening our relationships with local partners and suppliers.

That’s why we’ve rolled out our Local Supplier Development Program, which aims to foster economic growth and support the local community by partnering with and nurturing local suppliers.

Through this program, we identify and engage with potential suppliers within the region by providing them with guidance, resources, and training to enhance their capabilities and competitiveness.

We believe that by promoting local sourcing, we contribute to developing a robust local supply chain, creating job opportunities, and stimulating economic development.

Tarmeem

At Nesma & Partners, our main CSR focus is our partnership with the Tarmeem Charity Association and our shared vision of creating strong community impacts.

In 2021, we completed the renovation of over 80 residential homes in the Eastern Province over the past years.

We remain committed to supporting Tarmeem for its role in creating a positive difference in the lives of community members and restoring houses for underprivileged families across the Eastern Province.

Eta'am

This year, Nesma & Partners also contributed 200 Ramadan Iftar baskets to Eta’am, the Saudi Food Bank, to help feed needy families. We also signed another agreement with Eta’am to manage food waste. Thus, we secured food for those in need while ensuring they kept their dignity.
